It's 1980. Civil war's been declared in El Salvador, fifty-two American Hostages are being held captive in the U.S. Embassy in Terrain and Drug smuggler George Jung and his crew are serving out an indefinite sentence in Carcel Sandino, one of the most brutal prisons on the island of Cuba.
After an arranged escape, Jung, his pilot, Ralph Linez, and two others manage to steal a luxury sailing yacht and are soon shipwrecked in Central America. From there, the four enter a 'Fight or Flight' climate of survival with the eventual quest of making it back home to the United States.

To go through and look for areas where commas should be inserted, or punctuation changed somewhat, is like suffering from OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). The STORY Line ITSELF was absolutely TERRIFIC; a page-turner if there ever was one! George Jung and Mr. Cimino did a GREAT JOB on this novel. If it ever comes out in hardback or paperback, I would like the job of "proof-reading" the final copy and fixing those punctuation errors -- which should NEVER take away from the adventure itself! Or from those of US who live VACARIOUSLY through someone ELSE's misadventures! A breath-taking ride with a "rebel without a cause" who insisted on living his life the way he wanted! It is probably based more on a "true story" than George Jung cares to admit.Product details

Heavy edition by T Rafael Cimino George Jung Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Could not put this book down. Great read.
The grammatical and spelling errors throughout the entire book are rather annoying, and constantly detract from the story. The writing style is extremely amateurish - almost like someone who read a "how to write for Dummies" book. The story makes sense if you have read "Blow" - George Jung's story - but doesn't make a whole lot of sense if you haven't. Since the subject was a major importer of cocaine into the US there is no sympathy for the protagonist - unless you are part of his cult following (and that is a substantial group, apparently). The author doesn't seem to understand the mores of life outside of jail - life in the real world - so the reader can be confused about how and why certain things are important and others are not important to the author. Overall it ultimately is a poorly written, poor man's "Blow."
Happened then this is the wildest series of capers that I have ever heard of. Interesting read but surely mostly FICTION...
good read.
a very good book. I read it after Blow and it seems like it is a slight reimagining of the events that happened in the book and movie.
Not what I was expecting. I was expected it to be as good as Blow but it wasn't.
I've found it boring, and only finished it because I stupid enough to purchase this ebook
